After searching through some of the blogs i felt i would never find my first topic. I decided to go to the first blog on the list. I finally found the elusive blog to spark my interest. The blog is listed in the general group with blog name About Geology by Andrew Alden.
Andrew’s blog containing a post on Stonehenge’s Stones caught my attention. This blog talked about glacial evidence to support the new idea of how the Stonehenge Stones were transported to Salisbury Plain. Originally the accepted idea of how the stones were transported was by man. This blog contains an artical that not only puts the original idea in great doubt, but also supports the new idea of glaical transport to the location.
Andrew has been writing on geologic subjects since 1981, but only started to write for About Geology since 1997. Andrew seems to blog on a pretty consistent basis considering his blog in About Geology and he also blogs about his home town Oakland Geology.
I have to admit that I did not expect to find a blog like this to write about. I choose this article because I always had an interest in history. Stonehenge has given many questions still to this day that we are unable to answer like Easter Island. This blog did a nice job on explaining the evidence the geology backed to be the most and probably true way of transport for the stones of Stonehenge.
